I’ve been reading tarot since I was a church boy turned secret spiritual seeker as teenager living in my parents’ home. I got my first deck from Borders Bookstore, kept it a few days, convinced myself it was evil and threw it away only to return to Borders a few weeks later to buy the same deck again.
Tarot always called to me and just made intuitive sense. Eventually, at the encouragement of my friend Tasha, began doing readings on Reddit. The feedback I received floored me and Tasha so much so that she nicknamed me ParaLarry, like the animated movie ParaNorman that was out in theatres at the time. Little did she or I know that this nickname would become the name of my business where I do everything from Human Design, tarot, and energy reas spiritual thought leadership to music, poetry, and spiritual life coaching.
About 7 years ago, my best friend Michelle introduced me to the Human Design system. I wasn’t sold initially. I had enough spiritual systems in my arsenal and I didn’t need another. But every time I revisited it, I felt like Human Design saw me and try as I’d like, I couldn’t stay away. I eventually became Human Design certified, began working on my own Human Design certification program, and spoke all over the country at Human Design conferences as a featured expert.
Still, tarot would not leave me alone. It persisted. And the more I learned about Human Design energy flows and archetypes, the more I saw parallels in the tarot that I simply could not ignore. I spent time in deep meditation birthing this deck. Although there is a document online that connects tarot and Human Design, I didn’t find it resonant for me or my purposes.
I’ve spent the last two and a half years building this deck. I’ve started it, stopped it, trashed it, prayed that what I’d trashed wasn’t permanently deleted, recovered it, started again, and used all of my expertise to launch this deck. I honestly never thought this would see the light of day, but here we are.

What it’s NOT:
It is not a discourse on ancient Egyptian themes or spiritual concepts, nor is it intended to be a comprehensive introduction to Human Design. This is not just “tarot with a theme.”
What it is:
Each card was designed, illustrated, and arranged to reflect both the traditional tarot meanings along with an introductory look into some basic Human Design. The deck works two ways: if you know tarot and have been curious about Human Design, this is the perfect introduction to the system. If you know Human Design but don’t quite understand tarot, you can use your Human Design knowledge to read these cards. Whichever door you enter through, you can learn and expand the depth and precision of your readings using this deck.
I chose Ancient Egyptian imagery because of how resonant it has been with me for many years.
